Artist Statement:

My paintings are a process of lifelong exploration as an artist. Realistic work was the focus of my early career, but in the last two decades, my work began to seek out the abstract. This is a source of great satisfaction and excitement for me. I am constantly exploring ideas and methods, not just at the surface level, but in developing a consistent personal content and language in my work. I enjoy working with layers of thick and thin color in both transparent watercolor and acrylics, and other assorted materials. The visual message is much more important to me than the medium with which I paint.

“My work is a visual reflection of my life experiences.”
